In praise of reading and fiction
Dec. 15th, 2010 03:05 amI got up today to this wonderful speech that I didn't get to listen the day it was told.
To be honest, I've never read anything by Mario Vargas Llosa. I think the summaries of his novels never appealed particularly to me. Who knows, maybe in the future I'll find a moment to remedy that. Today I still feel like spending the few free moments I have reading Good Omens and Sherlock's fanfics.
However, this morning I found the words of the Nobel prize in Literature warm and splendid. An ode to Literature and fiction (including fanfiction).
