I didn't forget :P
Nov. 9th, 2006 05:00 amLadies and gentlemen, after ten days since I thought about posting this, finally here it is:
The con lasted three days but we stayed two, that's it, Friday and Sunday (we could say that's part of the deal: one day and a half at the con and one day and a half in Barcelona; they know how to negotiate... but I'm not complaining either ;D. And thank goodness we chose Saturday to make the tourist trip 'cause next day newspapers talked about the unexpected amount of people that filled the fairgrounds up. I wanted to see Blood in concert that day but look at this! It had to be impossible to see anything that day, I can tell cause on Sunday there were less people and I almost couldn't get close to the stalls -in fact I was literally tackled several times... one of them by a little girl #_xhigh hills didn't help either
So I didn't see Blood but I met Hideshi Hino~ *g*

Actually I don't like his works (too gore for my taste) but I accept that he's one of the best in that field. A really funny guy:
when I was watching his exposure, there were almost no one around but my friends. Then he came in with a friend -a real character, his friend XD- and let us know WHO he was, aka: Hino-sensei pointed eagerly at his own name in an informative poster while his friend pointed at him at the same time XDDD I tried to talk to them but, really, I couldn't understand their English (maybe the fact that Hino's friend reeked of sake could explain many things...)I laughed so much!

Hino-sensei and Friend in Black. For some reason I have the feeling I should know his friend but I can't put him a name >_> Anyone know him?
As soon as we finished taking the photos, a large group of people appeared suddenly, professional photographers included, and we had to left the room.
And remember Lupin III? Monkey Punch was also there! But it was impossible to get an autograph or a sketch with less than an hour of queue.

Masakazu Katsura or Atsuko Nakajima were among the authors that went at the weekend.
The better point of friday is that you can easily buy anything you want.
The result:
-I got a Weiz Kreuz artbook
A rarity in Spain, I'd dare to say, and for only 6€!!
-Minekura's Backgammon Remix *___*
I'm so happy! I still bounce when I look at it XD;
-Death Note vol 1
This was a very nice surprise cause I had not heard anything about its publication here (I knew it had been published in Italy but not here). But I'm not sure I like the translation that much, nobody's perfect...
-Murakami's Gravitation Remix XDDD
Ok, THIS was absolutely unexpected. It's the first and only doujinshi I've seen in Spanish (and I'd rather read it in English...). I don't like her style here but IT'S THE FIRST ONE published by a very important publishing house. Yaoi is finally gaining ground in Spain! XD
In other news, Get Backers has been dubbed, what makes me hope that maybe next year we'll have the manga -Oh, please, I want the manga, I want iiiiiit!
And this year I also met people I hope to meet again some time ^_^ (I promised to scan the Weiz Kreuz artbook so if anyone is interested, just tell me).
To sum up: I had a great time! I've summarized a great amount of things but I'm drained and it has taken me too many days to find a moment to post this, so that's all.
I¡m leaving you with some random pics of those days ;P

The beach! Sitges. Almost November and look that sun! And I assure you it was hot @_@

My new little plushy thing X3

Underground. Sunday in the evening after the con closed, coming back to the bus station. :'( Exhausted.
