kaoticwordsIt seems bugs are all around. I got up today with a fever and a horrible cough. I feel better now but look what I found as a week challenge in the holmesslash group:
1. Five things Holmes did when Watson caught cold.
-Bring chocolate from the best Chocolate House in London. Watson had mentioned before that chocolate had some medicinal properties. He knew it wouldn't cure the cold but it would brighten Watson up.
-Complain about the irresponsibility of Watson: he shouldn't have given him his coat in the middle of the street just because his beggar disguise was too lightweight.
-Play the most loud melodies he knew to avoid the constant cough fits from the floor above. He couldn't think with all the unending noise.
-Read aloud one of the novels scattered over Watson's desk. The fact that it was Watson's favourite was a mere coincidence. Watson smiled nonetheless.
-Try to convince Watson to let him practise an oriental technique to alleviate the cold symptoms. Watson did not doubt Holmes' skills in every field he tried but he wasn't going to let him put needles in his back and neck. He could accept, however, a massage.
2. Five times Watson sneezed when he shouldn't have.
-When Holmes was demonstrating his conclusions to Lestrade and several Yard officers. Watson thinks Holmes exaggerated when he said that it was extremely annoying. Anyone can sneeze ten times in a row once in a while.
-When he was showed the poisonous powder that killed Mr. Stevenson. The remedy for the drug caused him and Holmes dysentery for three days.
-When Holmes took his hand and his eyes tendered. Watson is sure that "I... I think you should drink something warm, old chap. Otherwise you may catch a cold" was not what Holmes was about to tell him.
-When he was reading a client's important letter, the last one that she received from her deceased husband. After that it was impossible to distinguish the second line from the third. Holmes got irritated at the moment but he laughs out loud every time he remembers how Watson explained to their client that he couldn't hold his tears when he read the missive.
-Under Holmes' bedclothes, just before Mrs. Hudson closed the door of Holmes' room. Holmes blushed strongly although she hadn't put another bowl of soup in the tray for nothing. She already knew when one of them caught a cold, the other would follow soon.
3. Five things Mrs. Hudson makes as a get well potion.
(Number four always gets poured into the fire when she leaves the room)
-Orange juice with honey.
-Hot milk with brandy
-Tea with a bit of lemon juice
-Milk with tea, a raw egg and something indefinable.
-Tomato soup.
Tomorrow I'll finish the last two prompts:
