Coincidence
Oct. 22nd, 2006 08:17 pmLately I feel lazier than usual, it could be the weather; after Halloween, November begins and I hate it. November and December are just not my months. But October is great. So great that I always finish it in bankrupt. That's why I want to sincerely thank the gentle waiter who yesterday gave us a delicious chocolate dessert for free <3 Much love for him~
Yesterday night also brought to my mind a strange event:
in July, when I was with my fiends at the airport of Prague checking our boarding tickets, we met a teacher from university. He happens to be one of my favourite teachers and, we could say, my "academic angel" (he was the first one who bet on me).
The fact itself is quite normal. But what is the probability of that to happen?
I mean:
-we lost the car we should have taken to the airport.
-we almost lost the plane (we were the last passengers who boarded).
-I hadn't seen him nor couldn't find him during the whole last course.
-we were right in front of him in a queue with no one else and he didn't recognize us. (?)
-when we talked to him he acted really weird: generally, he's very gentle with old pupils, but I don't know, he was simply weird.
-we crossed the boarding door and right after, we heard the air hostess telling him he had misread his flight's hour.
Now, what is the probability to misread the hour of your flight -especially when there's no other flight till the evening-, arrive just in time to close the boarding queue and meet there with people you know but never meet in your own city? And if they are late and the flight is waiting?
Ok, while I'm writing this I realize it doesn't sound as strange as I perceived it. However in that moment and even now, I have that surreal feeling that weird dreams leave behind.
If I talk about all this right now it's because I remembered it this week for no reason at all. Curiously, one of my best friends, and traveling mate, had the same thought this week too.
Coincidences are this, but then I can't help but think if maybe sometimes Destiny tries to tell me something and I'm unable to figure it out.
